Anyone who knows me well knows I am a cruise ship addict. In August, I will be taking my 14th cruise. This latest cruise starts in Venice, Italy and travels to 4 Greek islands (Corfu, Santorini, Mykonos and Katakolon). Part of the fun of taking a cruise is having the cruise scheduled and looking forward to it. I think it’s interesting to watch where the ship I will be traveling on has traveled before my cruise.
For those of you who are familiar with Google Earth, you know what a great resource it is. I learned that it is possible to track most cruise ships using Google Earth. Many of the cruise ships around the world can be tracked in near real-time. When you click on the following link using Windows, you will be given the option to open or save the file. For the open option, you must choose a program with which to open the file. Choose Google Earth and then click OK.
Now you can watch the travels of your favorite cruise ship, including web cam views by clicking on the ship logo.
